
Tracy Klein has over 20 years of pharmaceutical industry sales and marketing experience, including extensive work bringing multiple small molecules and biologics to market. Ms. Klein joined Centocor while it was a medium-sized independent biotech company and helped lead Centocor to success as they grew Remicade into Johnson and Johnson’s #1 pharmaceutical product. While at Centocor, Ms. Klein spent nine years on the management team, served on the sales force structure and deployment team and several product launch teams. She is well-versed in science as well as business, holding both a B.S. in Microbiology (Pre-Med) and an MBA from Oregon State University. A native of the Northwest, she grew up outside of Oregon City, and moved to the Seattle metro area in 1990. Tracy is well-positioned to lead Inson’s strong management team through research and development and then through the commercialization of its unique drug delivery devices.

Dr. Stein leads the research effort establishing the fundamental science behind Inson's products' safety and efficacy. She has been instrumental in discovering new applications and polymer formulations for drug delivery enhancements and in coordinating laboratory studies in support of product design, claims and intellectual property. Prior to serving as the CSO, she served as Inson Medical System's senior scientist. Dr. Stein has over six years of experience in the synthesis, assembly and analysis of numerous forms of self-assembled monolayer coatings. Dr. Stein received her bachelor of science, magna cum laude, in biomedical engineering from the University of California, San Diego. She received her doctorate in bioengineering with a specialty in biomaterials and surface analysis under the support of an NIH fellowship from the University of Washington, Seattle WA. She is the author on over a dozen publications and abstracts in biomedical research.

Mr. Douglas Swartz has extensive experience in the technical development, and financial and business requirements necessary for companies to succeed. Mr. Swartz has over 25 years of experience in the creation of technology start-ups. He has personally founded and lead four technology companies prior to Inson Medical Systems, Inc. These firms (Integrated Solutions, Outbound Systems, Black Labs, and Ntrapoint) represent advances in diverse fields and several have reached liquidity. His first venture, Integrated Solutions, was a company which designed and manufactured Unix servers and work- stations for corporate users. He grew that company to $6 million in sales within three years at which time it was acquired for in excess of $8 million. His second company, Outbound Systems, was formed to capitalize on opportunities in portable computing. This company raised $11 million in capital prior to being sold to Apple Computer for $4 million. In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Swartz has twenty-eight years of experience in technology companies, primarily in management roles. He has helped lead companies to success in all phases of product development from concept to launch. Mr. Doug Swartz earned his B.S. and M.S. Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, worked towards a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University (1973), and earned his M.B.A. from Northeastern University (1979).

Stephen Quinn was CEO and Managing Director of Ratner BioMedical Group LLC (RBG) for two years prior to his current role at Inson Medical Systems Inc. Inson itself was a spin-off from the biomedical incubator RBG. Mr. Quinn co-founded Portfolio Effect LLC; a modest private equity partnership and has sixteen years of experience in the software industry (eight of which were spent at Microsoft, mostly in managerial roles). While at Microsoft, he co-authored a book on Business Intelligence software with Siva Harinath. Mr. Quinn was resident during the IPO process for three software start-up companies in the Bay Area (Macromedia, Quintus, and Actuate). He serves on the advisory board of Lagotek Inc., and is a Director at Calcionics Corporation, Ratner BioMedical Inc. and Inson Medical Systems Inc. Well versed in regenerative medicine, Mr. Quinn’s past academic accomplishments include a Master of Arts Degree in Biological and Cognitive Psychology from California State University, Chico and the MBA degree from the University of Washington.

Hod has over 30 years experience in the biomedical industry, having held various leadership roles in discovery and development of several products currently on the market. Mr. Namdaran is the inventor of AcrySof®, the leading small-incision IOL being marketed by Alcon. In his role as VP of Operations, he will be instrumental in our efforts to establish clinical production capability. His proven skills in biomaterial formulation, process development, and manufacturing have lead to FDA approved implants for cataract & corneal surgery, a device for separation of Stem cells used in cancer therapy, and another for treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis. Hod founded and managed Meditech Labs. for 8 years, providing R&D and clinical production services to clients such as Alcon Labs., Bausch & Lomb, KeraVision, Alza, Physiometrics, Fresenius, and Tyco Healthcare. Hod has a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering and holds a number of material and process patents.
